Automatic Target Launcher Operational Procedures

This blog was created to provide references and materials to enable the safe use of  Automated Target Launcher.

Before using the Automated Target Launcher, members should be familiar with the proper operational procedures to ensure the safety of all users/shooters of the equipment. Clay Target Launchers can be dangerous and must be treated with great care at all times to avoid accidents. Located in the Documents section of the Club's website are the following documents:

  1.  Automated Target Launcher Safety Guidelines
  2. Automated Target operation procedures opening closing houses and arming-disarming launcher
  3. How to identify if the Automated Target Launcher is disarmed or armed

Videos explaining the operational procedures and safety guidelines can be found at the following link:

One must treat a clay target launcher with the same caution that one would treat a loaded gun.

Assume at all times that a clay target launcher is armed and loaded and treat it accordingly.

It is recommended that the above noted reference materials be reviewed before attempting to operate the Clay Target Launcher.

Should you have questions, please contact the Shotgun Chair using the Club's email in the Contact section of this website.

  • Please observe a limit of one person at a time in the sign in shed.
  • The new bays are open and operate like the Pit Range. All legal firearms are allowed. Leave target stands as close to the berm as possible.
  • Members MUST take ALL of their own trash with them when they leave the Club grounds. Club volunteers WILL NOT be picking up trash or emptying the trash containers until the pandemic is officially declared over.
  • Please bring your own sanitizer/sanitizing wipes to clean the lock at main gate, and to wipe down the “range in use” sign by gate, and the “ range in use” sign on each range.
  • Please continue to practice social-distancing (six feet), washing hands, sanitizing items you touch, etc.
  • There will be a sign-in pen but we suggest you bring your own pen to sign in with.
  • It is up to members if you would wear a mask and/or gloves.
  • Disinfect your shooting area before and after use, chairs, table surface etc., as you move from range to range.

... and finally, please respect everyone’s space and enjoy your time at the Club.
